Felt food

I know that the felt food craze has long been over, but I just started making some for my girl.
Strawberries and sandwich. These can be her breakfast. :) Got the cute little basket from Daiso for these strawberries, wanted to get it long ago till I find a use for it. Oh... and Daiso is so dangerously near my house, I had been there twice this week.Fresh strawberries just plucked from the garden. Hahaha..... I hope that is the case in reality, it feel so great to be able to pluck the fruit/veg right from the garden. How I envied the others when they blogged about picking from their gardens.
Let's see what's in the sandwich. There are the unlike tomato tomato, egg, lettuce and ham between 2 slices of bread. This is Hanhan playing with my felt pieces while I'm working on her felt food. She had fun just touching, folding and taking out pieces by pieces initially, as I'm working on her felt food happily. When she had enough of that, she started to throw them all over the place :P She has been skipping several naps for the past week, I think she will need none of it soon.
There are lots of people doing felt food in blogland, here are some of the resources I have found:
1)one inch world has very good tutorial for making felt tomato(I'm too lazy to follow her instruction so I ended up with unlike tomato tomato), luttuce, ravioli and farfalle.
Enjoy felt toy making if you have not done so.

Wow what fun!! I think mummy and Hanhan had lots of fun creating that food. And yes, Daiso is so close to your house it is criminal. Why aren't they closer to me??!!!

At first glance, I thought these were real! There are really beautiful & delicious real strawberries in Japan - sweeter than those sold in Singapore supermarkets. Probably because they are from a different country? Thank you Ah-fat, for all your kind encouraging words when you comment.

The felt food movement will never be over! :-) As long as mamas keep having babies we will be finding ways to make them play food. Your sandwich is great. I keep meaning to make some eggs, but I haven't gotten around to so many things I want to do!
