New dress for Hanhan

Made a new dress for Hanhan recently. It's been a really long time since I last made clothing for her.

Hanhan has grown much taller now, and has outgrow most of the clothings I made for her, so she has been wearing store bought t-shirts and pants all this while. She is really happy to get her new Mummy-Made dress (with her favourite fabric choice of course!) but she is not really willing to take photos in it.

These are the second set of photos I took, the first set she is all grumpy. Now she enjoys taking photo of others rather than have her photos taken.
I hope she will continue to enjoy wearing the clothings I make for her.

Merry Christmas!! I will be back really soon!

I must say that it's really difficult for me to start blogging again when I have stopped for so long. To me blogging is a bit like writing composition for a Primary school kid, except that I'm not graded.... so still not that bad.... Furthermore I like to read my past posts, they bring back lots of memories :)

Here I wish all a Merry Christmas! And don't forget that our CHRISTMAS PROMOTION ends on 21 Dec, catch it if you can!

Fat Connection Christmas Promotion

Here's an update on shop
before I try to keep up to date with what's going on for the past few months of my life.

I have also listed the following pouches and bags into Fat Connection shop. Some are made for last MAAD market (Oops! That more than a year ago!) Some are my photo sample for sewing lessons, and some are sewn just because sewing is so much fun!
Yes, sewing is fun but listing them in shop aren't really that fun, so that's why I only list them in shop now....... I'm really terrible :(
Cute little boxy pouches. They are just about the size of your palm. Don't think that because they are small means they are easier to do, same amount of time and work is required to make them, and I think it is quite a lot of work as compared to its' size.
Simple zippered pouches.
I sewed when I'm really in need of some sewing therapy.
Reversible hobo bag and reversible Japanese knot bag.
I love to sew reversible bags. When there are so many beautiful fabrics at home waiting for me, I just can't decide which to use as the main/exterior fabric, making reversible bag kind of solved the problem ;)

Sewing for my girls

I made another car seat cover again to replace the old one. There are quite a lot of lints (do you call that lints??) coming out from the batting, so got to replace it so that baby Xinxin can have a nice cozy seat in the car. This time I made sure that there is an extra layer between the batting and the exterior fabric to prevent the same misfortune. I also added extra batting, so now the seat is much more comfortable than the previous one, and of course much more comfortable than the original cover. And I didn't bother worrying that the seat will get dirty easily, we just choose the sweet "zoo animal(pink)", so Hanhan complaint how come hers (the previous car seat cover) is not as nice this Xinxin's :P

After making so many art folios, I finally made one for Hanhan. She was very happy to see the completed art folio and immediately drew with it. Again fabric chosen by her, reason being the print on the fabric looks like crayon doodle. Yes, a prefect match for its usage :> And yes, it's the same up as Xinxin's car seat!

Customised sewing

Below are more projects done during the months that I didn't blog.

This was done more than 6 months ago.
Ordered by Teacher Dila for her friend who was giving birth soon then.

Art folio for little toddlers on the go.
I'm glad that I have ordered some checks and polka dots fabric from Kokka. I tend to use lots of checks & polka dots, strips and plain fabrics to go with busy prints, I think that they go really well.
And a Birthday pennant to go with the art folios order.

This gave me the idea to sew another art folio as birthday present for Hanhan's friend ;>
